We developed https://hulgipood.orkla.ee/ as a tailored B2B e-platform designed exclusively for Orkla Eesti AS’s contractual business clients. The platform simplifies the ordering process and provides effortless navigation through an extensive product catalog.
One of the most notable challenges was integrating a robust inventory system with real-time updates to ensure seamless stock management. Additionally, creating a user-friendly interface that balances functionality with intuitive design for B2B clients required meticulous attention to detail. The result is a secure, scalable, and efficient tool that enhances the customer ordering experience.
All product related data is stored and managed in dedicated product information system PIM. Availability of products in sales channel ‘B2B e-shop’ is managed in PIM by Orkla sales personnel. Daily automatic sync between e-shop and PIM ensures up to date data on the platform. Customers, customer data, prices, client specific pricing, sales campaigns, invoicing and inventory is managed in SAP.
An online product catalog https://mpds.orkla.ee/ for all audience with added functionalities for Orkla personnel is added as a side project. All product data is pulled from PIM and placed as a downloadable one pager. Sales representatives and customers can pick desired products one by one and create downloadable product catalogues
